About The Position

The Order Processing Specialist I is responsible for the triage and delivery of samples to designated lab areas. This role ensures the proper splitting, handling, and storage of samples, verifies and logs in all required information, and documents any discrepancies. Requirements

  • Minimum of eighteen years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow written instructions.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Legible handwriting.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Ability to type 35-40 WPM with accuracy.
  • Computer skills: knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Receive all incoming shipments and separate supplies from samples.
  • Identify and handle boxes that cannot be opened or are damaged.
  • Wear appropriate PPE and follow safety guidelines when opening boxes.
  • Ensure sample submission forms are included and signed.
  • Assign priority numbers to boxes based on the submission form and priority list.
  • Match and organize samples and datapacks for delivery.
  • Ensure timely delivery of all temperature-sensitive samples.
  • Deliver samples to the correct storage condition location in each lab.
  • Carefully remove samples from outer shipping boxes.
  • Verify all information on the submission form against the samples.
  • Handle all samples appropriately for each test requested.
  • Properly package samples for delivery to the lab to prevent damage.
  • Split samples and paperwork appropriately for each test request.
  • Identify discrepancies and follow the correct procedure for documentation.
  • Attach barcode labels to all applicable paperwork and samples.
  • Complete forms and use appropriate required stamps.
  • Know and follow applicable regulatory requirements (GMP, GLP, ISO, etc.).
  • Know and follow company policies and procedures.
  • Complete required training on time.
  • Attend work regularly and reliably.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
