About The Position

The Order Planner is responsible for creating, updating, and releasing production orders, managing capacity reservations, and analyzing production capacity needs to ensure on-time delivery. This role involves coordinating with manufacturing teams, reviewing and releasing purchase requisitions, and developing detailed production schedules. The Order Planner will also manage delivery delays, ensure the accuracy of production orders, and maintain planning-related master data. Backup support for planning and administrative functions is also required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP or similar platforms; experience with MRP is essential.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate across departments and support operations management initiatives.
  • Language: English required.

Nice To Haves

  • German language skills are a plus.
  • APICS/ASCM CPIM or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Ability to travel periodically for group meetings or training.

Responsibilities

  • Create, update, and release production orders.
  • Create and maintain capacity reservations to support production requirements.
  • Analyze production capacity needs and coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure on-time delivery performance.
  • Review and release purchase requisitions within SAP.
  • Develop detailed production schedules and coordinate the availability of required materials, components, and production aids.
  • Identify scheduling and planning conflicts and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
  • Manage and communicate delivery delays, coordinating updates with Sales and customers as needed.
  • Review production orders to ensure completeness, accuracy, and readiness for execution.
  • Prepare, maintain, and archive production-related documentation.
  • Maintain and update planning-related master data to support accurate scheduling and reporting.
  • Provide backup support for planning and administrative functions as required.
