About The Position

Ferguson is seeking a 2nd Shift Order Picker for its Fort Payne, Alabama distribution center. The role involves accurately picking, sorting, staging, storing, and transporting products while maintaining inventory integrity, product quality, and a safe, organized workspace. Associates use warehouse technology such as RF scanners and may use labor management systems. The position works Monday through Friday from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM. Starting pay is $21.00 per hour, and the role is eligible for an hourly or incentive bonus. Employment is contingent on successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Requirements

• Ability to work overtime, including extended hours, as needed based on business demands.
• Ability to safely perform physically demanding warehouse work, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing and walking for extended periods, and repetitive bending, twisting, and reaching.
• Regular and reliable attendance and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to following all safety policies and personal protective equipment requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Prior warehouse, distribution, shipping, or receiving experience.
• Experience with warehouse technology such as RF scanners, or readiness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick, sort, stage, store, and transport product to assigned locations.
• Perform daily tasks using RF scanners and/or labor management systems.
• Build, wrap, label, and organize pallets, containers, and materials to maintain inventory integrity.
• Maintain product accuracy, quality, and safety while following established standard operating procedures for assigned task areas.
• Communicate effectively with team members and support a team-oriented work environment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace and participate in ongoing housekeeping efforts.
• Follow safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment when required.
• Participate in team meetings and communicate concerns or improvement opportunities to management.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs.
