About The Position

Ferguson is hiring a second-shift Warehouse Associate for its Fort Payne, Alabama distribution center. The role involves picking, sorting, staging, storing, and transporting products while maintaining accuracy, quality, and safety. Associates use warehouse technology such as RF scanners and labor management systems, organize pallets and materials, and help maintain a clean and safe workspace. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM. Starting pay is $21.00 per hour, and the role is eligible for an hourly or incentive bonus. Employment is contingent on successfully completing a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Requirements

• Ability to work overtime, including extended hours, as needed based on business demands.
• Ability to safely perform physically demanding warehouse work, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing or walking for extended periods, and repetitive bending, twisting, and reaching.
• Regular and reliable attendance and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to following all safety policies and personal protective equipment requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Prior warehouse, distribution, shipping, or receiving experience.
• Experience with warehouse technology such as RF scanners, or readiness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick, sort, stage, store, and transport products to assigned locations.
• Perform daily tasks using RF scanners and/or labor management systems.
• Build, wrap, label, and organize pallets, containers, and materials to maintain inventory integrity.
• Maintain product accuracy, quality, and safety while following established standard operating procedures for assigned task areas.
• Communicate effectively with team members and support a team-oriented work environment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace and participate in ongoing housekeeping efforts.
• Follow safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment when required.
• Participate in team meetings and communicate concerns or improvement opportunities to management.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs.
