About The Position

Under close supervision, the Order Picker performs routine logistics operations. The work includes moving and storing materials and products using manual labor and low-complexity machinery or equipment, such as forklifts and conveyors; receiving and inspecting goods and verifying them against shipment records; gathering, verifying, and packing items for shipment according to specifications and transportation method; and recording received and shipped items.

Requirements

Ability to work in a labor-intensive position involving lifting, standing, bending, twisting, and stooping for 8 hours a day.
Physically able to lift 30 lbs. repetitively, 50 lbs. occasionally, and 100 lbs. with assistance.
Ability to use hand tools, including scrappers, banders, and shrink-wrap equipment.
Ability to read and interpret work orders to ensure customer requirements are met.
Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
Ability to work with a team in a fast-paced environment.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Great interpersonal and communication skills.
Solution-oriented problem solver.

Responsibilities

Operate a sit-down forklift.
Receive and track shipments.
Load or unload shipments in delivery trucks.
Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders, pulling materials, packing boxes, and placing orders in the delivery area.
Label and stockpile shipments according to size, shape, and type.
Keep the shipping supply area clean by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Record and manage impaired or damaged merchandise.
Complete reports by entering required information.
Perform routine quality checks on finished products.
Provide quality service by following organizational standards.
Follow safety regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
