Order Packer - Mid Shift
About The Position
The Order Packer will be responsible for packing orders according to the Working Order or by the queue system. This role requires reading and following special instructions to pick and pack orders accurately. A key part of the job is double-checking products to ensure inventory and item picked are accurate based on the working order. The packer will also need to communicate and report to the Team Leader regarding out-of-stock items or substitutions before packing, product without packaging, and if product is found in the wrong area. The ability to prioritize work and meet daily shipping goals is essential. This role also involves matching the working order and invoice, ensuring carton labels or UPS and FEDEX labels match, and preparing orders for shipping by placing the correct shipping label, stacking cartons on pallets, and wrapping them for loading. Moving pallets to a special area if shipment is not going out the same day and helping to maintain a clean work area are also responsibilities. Training new order pickers may also be required.
Requirements
- Warehouse pick/pack experience.
- Must be able to use tape gun, tape up carton/bag and RF scan gun.
- Teamwork and Cooperation.
- Must be reliable/dependable and have excellent attendance.
- Must be able to lift 40+ lbs. on a continual basis.
- Basic computer knowledge is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Pack orders according to Working Order or by the queue system.
- Read & follow special instructions to pick and pack orders.

- Communicate, work, & report to Team Leader regarding: Out of stock items or substitutions before packing product, Product without packaging in storage area, and report to team leader if find the product place in wrong area.
- Prioritize work & finish daily shipping goal according to company shipping goal.
- Match the working order and invoice, making sure the carton label or UPS and FEDEX label match.
- Prepare order for shipping which includes: Place the shipping label to the correct shipment.
- Stack cartons on pallets and warp in time for loading.
- Move pallets to special area if shipment is not shipping out on same day.
- Help maintain clean work area.
- Train new order picker.
