About The Position

This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and is responsible for reading and understanding orders, selecting and packing finished goods, checking accuracy of product and count, packaging orders according to work instructions, and informing the Supervisor or Team Leader of any issues with order fulfillment or product shortages. The role also involves maintaining a clean and safe work area, refilling packaging materials, and following all department and safety procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED, Technical Certification, a plus
• 1+ years’ experience in a warehouse environment
• Experience using an ERP system, preferred
• Experience using material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet-jacks, carts, etc.), preferred
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to perform basic mathematic computations
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
• Must possess a strong attention to detail
• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to push-pull a maximum of 1200 lbs. with a manual rolling assist
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, sit, and ladder-climb for more than 1 hour at a time
• Must be able to work at heights of up to 20 feet
• Visual requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus
• Proficient computer skills
• General knowledge of workplace safety, a plus

Responsibilities

• Read and understand the order to be packed
• Select and pack finished goods as noted on the sales order
• Check accuracy of product and product count against checklist prior to processing the order
• Package small and bulk orders according to work instruction
• Inform the Supervisor or Team Leader when there are issues with order fulfillment or product shortages
• Maintain a clean, safe work area
• Refill work area with packaging materials as needed
• Follow all department and safety procedures of the facility and warehouse zones
