About The Position

The Order Fulfillment Coordinator supports the daily execution of customer orders from receipt through shipment departure. This position verifies order requirements, maintains accurate status information, coordinates priorities with production, warehouse, logistics, customer service, and sales, and escalates issues that could affect an on-time and accurate shipment.

Requirements

  • Experience in order fulfillment, customer service, logistics, warehousing, production coordination, or a related supply chain role.
  • Working knowledge of inventory, order planning, warehouse, and transportation processes.
  • Ability to enter, review, and maintain accurate information in an ERP or order management system.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other standard business applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to order, documentation, and transaction accuracy.
  • Clear verbal and written communication with internal teams, customers, carriers, and service providers.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple time-sensitive orders and adjust to changing requirements in a manufacturing environment.
  • Practical problem-solving skills and the judgment to resolve routine issues or escalate risks promptly.

Nice To Haves

  • Food manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review new and revised customer orders for item, quantity, ship-to location, requested date, and special requirements; communicate discrepancies for resolution.
  • Maintain the daily order fulfillment schedule and priority list, incorporating approved order changes and production updates.
  • Coordinate with production planning, warehouse, shipping, logistics, customer service, and sales to support complete and on-time order fulfillment.
  • Monitor inventory availability, production completion, order status, and shipment readiness throughout the day.
  • Promptly escalate shortages, production delays, carrier issues, order changes, or other risks to the Supply Chain Manager and affected teams.
  • Prepare and verify the information required for picking, staging, loading, and shipment release, including applicable customer, lot, date, and documentation requirements.
  • Coordinate carrier appointments and pickup details with internal and external partners, and follow up on missed or changed pickup times.
  • Enter and update orders, shipments, completed manufacturing orders, and other required transactions in the ERP system accurately and on time, including end-of-day manufacturing order completion.
  • Maintain complete order and shipment records to support traceability, customer service, and issue resolution.
  • Comply with company policies and all applicable food safety, quality, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements.
