About The Position

The Order Fulfillment Associate performs general warehouse activities to fulfill member orders. The role includes pulling merchandise from pick lists, moving items from the sales floor to a staging area, using handheld RF scanners to verify merchandise and update locations, and operating equipment. The associate supports BJ’s digital order initiatives, including BOPIC, Curbside, Express Pay, and Ship from Club.

The position focuses on accurate, timely order picking and packaging, meeting productivity and service-level expectations, communicating inventory and equipment issues, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area. Associates follow operational procedures and club policies, deliver friendly service, and may perform duties in other departments as needed. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function.

Responsibilities

• Pull merchandise from pick lists using a handheld RF scanner, verify items, and move merchandise from the sales floor to the staging area.
• Communicate inventory or equipment problems, expired or short-dated items, and merchandise replenishment needs to the appropriate club team members.
• Work with the team to pull merchandise from the reserve area when possible to avoid sales-floor replenishment.
• Pick orders promptly and meet productivity requirements, deadlines, service-level agreements, performance metrics, and goals.
• Follow operational processes, productivity standards, and established procedures for BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship from Club.
• Take responsibility for individual performance and work with club leadership when performance metrics are not met.
• Package orders securely according to standard operating procedures.
• Keep the Ship from Club area neat, clean, and organized; perform housekeeping, including removing trash and cardboard.
• Handle damaged goods and spoiled products according to standard operating procedures.
• Process returns to the club and determine whether they should be handled through DDR or the Membership desk.
• Maintain club policies and procedures, including dress-code standards.
• Support a safe, positive, inclusive environment and provide friendly, courteous service to members.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
