About The Position

This position is responsible for essential job functions related to order entry with limited supervision. Due to the nature of our business and a heavy industrial market, Bodycote deems this position to be safety-sensitive.

Requirements

This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holder.
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum one year of equivalent/relevant work experience in heat treating or related industry.
Requires basic knowledge of metallurgy, heat treating, and related subjects.
Requires knowledge of and/or ability to quickly learn industry, customer and metallurgical standards.
Requires knowledge of computer applications and basic math.
Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and communicate the English language.
Knowledge and hands on experience of computer applications including Microsoft Office and databases is required.

Responsibilities

Reviews industry and customer specifications to create accurate shop travelers using industry standards, customer paperwork and planning department review.
Interacts with customers as needed to clarify or communicate purchase order discrepancies.
Assists with other functions as required including answering phone, etc.
Brings any unusual problem or irregularity to the attention of supervisor.
Practices and promotes safety and good housekeeping.
Performs other duties as assigned.
This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customer’s inventory and as such will perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage.
Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism.
