Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain and maintain all required welding and brazing certifications
- Knowledge of welding, brazing, and soldering tools, equipment, and processes
- Ability to hold tight tolerances and inspect completed work
- Basic math proficiency including fractions, decimals, and measurements
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to aerospace quality standards
Nice To Haves
- Minimum 2 years of aerospace welding or torch/brazing experience preferred (combined or equivalent acceptable)
Responsibilities
- Perform orbital welding including programming and tooling setup for aerospace-grade components
- Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions to precise tolerances
- Set up, operate, and maintain welding, brazing, and soldering equipment
- Manufacture tooling for orbital weld heads and braze rings
- Size, clean, buff, and deburr tubes and parts prior to welding/brazing
- Inspect welds and braze joints for defects using precision tools including micrometers and calipers
- Read and interpret blueprints and detailed work instructions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-first work environment
