About The Position

We are seeking an experienced AWS Certified TIG Welder with direct aerospace experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in TIG welding according to AWS codes D1.2 (Aluminum), D1.6 (Stainless Steel), and D17.1 (Aerospace Fusion Welding). This role is crucial in ensuring our products meet the highest industry standards and contribute to the success of cutting-edge aerospace projects. JM Fabrication Company LLC is a family-owned, small business located in Arlington, Texas, specializing in precision fabrication services for the aerospace industry. Our brand-new weld lab features state-of-the-art Lincoln equipment, fume extractors, and air conditioning, providing an optimal work environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of direct TIG welding experience in the aerospace industry.
  • Proficiency in TIG welding techniques for aluminum and stainless steel, with a strong understanding of welding codes and standards.
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry standards such as AS9100 and NADCAP requirements.
  • Exceptional precision in TIG welding tasks, with a commitment to producing defect-free components.
  • Ability to identify and resolve welding challenges efficiently and effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Appreciation for a welcoming, family-owned small business environment.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident in compliance with ITAR regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Precision TIG Welding: Execute high-quality TIG welding operations on aerospace components in accordance with AWS D1.2, D1.6, and D17.1 standards
  • Material Expertise: Work extensively with aluminum, stainless steel, and other aerospace-grade materials, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with engineering specifications.
  • Interpret Technical Documents: Accurately read and interpret complex blueprints, welding symbols, and engineering drawings to fabricate components precisely.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections of welds and finished products to ensure compliance with aerospace industry requirements and company quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Engineering Teams: Partner with engineers and project managers to troubleshoot welding issues, optimize processes, and contribute to project development.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Utilize and maintain our brand-new Lincoln welding equipment and fume extraction systems, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety standards.
  • Documentation: Keep detailed records of welding procedures, inspection results, and any discrepancies in compliance with our quality management system.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, including OSHA regulations and company policies, to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest TIG welding technologies, AWS code revisions, and industry best practices to enhance skills and contribute to the company's growth.
