About The Position

Tessera Labs is seeking an Oracle Principal Pre-Sales & Delivery Architect to own solution direction across multiple concurrent customer engagements, from early sales conversations through solution design and delivery. This is a software-platform role, not a project or consulting role. The architect is accountable for defining customer value in measurable, written terms and ensuring customer teams adopt the Tessera platform as their normal way of working. The position combines approximately 70% engagement work with 30% pre-sales, go-to-market, and product input. The architect joins early customer and partner conversations, shapes opportunities and proposals, and brings field learning back into active engagements and Tessera product development. Oracle is the immediate focus, particularly Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, while the platform and solution perspective is expected to expand across ERP, CRM, HCM, SCM, and related systems. The role also owns customer adoption as a delivery outcome, identifies and addresses barriers to adoption, develops customer advocates, and shapes engagement staffing based on evidence. It is US-based and remote within the US, with travel to customer and partner sites as needed. The role works US business hours with customers, distributed delivery teams, and go-to-market teams, and reports to the VP, Center of Excellence.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ownership of solutioning in leading roles during Oracle enterprise software and services sales cycles, including scope, approach, effort, and risk, with a record of converting and delivering shaped opportunities.
  • Ability to orchestrate delivery teams across functional, technical, and data workstreams on multiple concurrent engagements.
  • Senior client-facing ability to engage customer architects, business owners, and finance stakeholders and to decline requests while maintaining relationships.
  • Evidence of driving customer adoption beyond go-live, with customer teams continuing to use delivered solutions.
  • 15+ years of enterprise transformation experience with an Oracle foundation, including Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications and E-Business Suite or JD Edwards.
  • Experience spanning multiple process areas, such as Financials and Supply Chain, with judgment to design across finance, supply chain, and order management and recognize when a specialist is needed.
  • Experience on several end-to-end Oracle Fusion Cloud implementations, including new implementations, migrations from E-Business Suite or JD Edwards, and phased coexistence approaches; familiarity with the major activities and challenges of each transition path.
  • Technical architecture knowledge covering integration patterns, data architecture, Oracle Cloud landscapes, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Visual Builder and PaaS extensions, FBDI and HDL data conversion into Fusion Cloud, and integration with non-Oracle systems.
  • Understanding of the Oracle AI roadmap for Fusion Cloud Applications, including embedded AI agents, and ability to engage effectively with engineers.
  • Confidence and evidence to identify when a program is over-staffed.
  • Ability to learn a new AI platform quickly and become fluent in the Tessera platform within the first months.
  • Excellent written and verbal business English and strong presentation skills for business and technical audiences.
  • Experience leading distributed onshore, nearshore, and offshore delivery teams, with strong asynchronous communication discipline.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience across more than one Oracle enterprise suite, such as ERP, CRM, HCM, or SCM.
  • Experience with multiple paths to Oracle Fusion Cloud, including from E-Business Suite, JD Edwards, or non-Oracle ERPs such as SAP.
  • Exposure to adjacent Oracle Fusion Cloud pillars, including EPM, HCM, and Fusion Data Intelligence or Analytics.
  • Experience partnering with AI, automation, or RPA tooling in an enterprise delivery context.
  • Experience in the Oracle partner and co-sell ecosystem, including Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN).

  • Oracle Cloud certifications, such as Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials, Procurement, or SCM Implementation Professional.
  • Spanish, Portuguese, or German language skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own functional and architectural direction across several concurrent engagements, including decisions about trade-offs and the solutions most likely to create customer value.
  • Orchestrate functional, technical, data, and other AI-enabled workstreams, maintaining an overall view across each engagement.
  • Translate customer business outcomes into solutions the Tessera AI platform can deliver, communicate limitations early, and provide feedback on new product research and development initiatives.
  • Agree with each customer on measurable, written value outcomes and identify an accountable customer-side owner before execution begins.
  • Bridge business intent and technical design while working with Forward Deployed Engineers, Tessera AI agents, and customer architects.
  • Serve as the primary counterpart for Technical Program Managers seeking clear answers on solution direction.
  • Lead solution definition in early customer and partner conversations; shape opportunity approach, effort, and risk before scope is set, and advise go-to-market teams on feasibility.
  • Own the Oracle solution story in proposals and statements of work in collaboration with the sales team or client partner and Forward Deployed Engineers.
  • Bring insight from pre-sales conversations into active engagements and adjust delivery approaches accordingly.
  • Turn field findings into product input and contribute Oracle domain knowledge to improve the Tessera platform and its agents.
  • Own customer platform adoption as a deliverable; define, measure, and report adoption alongside delivery status.
  • Identify and address the causes of stalled adoption, including process, skills, trust, or product gaps, and build customer advocates who can sustain platform use.
  • Determine the skills, sequencing, and duration needed for engagement teams; use evidence to identify over- or under-staffing and inform Center of Excellence capacity planning.
