About The Position

The Oracle Architect is responsible for designing, installing, monitoring, and maintaining Oracle database environments and associated data architecture. This customer-facing technical role supports adoption of Oracle solutions, provides guidance on database best practices, and helps develop optimized, scalable data architectures.

The role works with customers on deployment, migration, and implementation planning and collaborates with engineering and application teams to align data architecture with mission and business objectives. It also includes database performance, availability, and reliability optimization, as well as maintaining technical documentation for custom applications and database solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience, or 8 years of experience without a degree.
• Active Secret Clearance, with the ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance.
• Extensive experience with Oracle databases and Oracle architecture concepts.
• Strong understanding of indexing, query optimization, and SQL performance tuning.
• Experience with PL/SQL and advanced SQL development.
• Expertise in relational database concepts, schema design, and data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with database installation, configuration, backup and recovery, patching, security, and connectivity.
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization in complex enterprise database environments.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and command-line administration.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide clear, actionable solutions.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a senior Oracle DBA, Oracle Architect, or in a similar role.
• Experience with additional relational database systems, especially PostgreSQL, including administration or tuning responsibilities.
• Experience with data integration tools, ETL workflows, or enterprise application environments.
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server.

• Lead the installation, configuration, and setup of Oracle database environments.
• Participate in deployment, migration, and implementation planning with customers.
• Monitor, tune, and optimize Oracle databases for performance, availability, and reliability.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation to support custom applications and database solutions.
