Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior / Enterprise Solution Architect in large-scale financial services environments.
  • Strong architectural and practical expertise in Oracle RAC.
  • Experience designing low-latency, high-throughput systems for Markets, Post-Trade, or HFT workloads.
  • Ability to align application design, database architecture, and infrastructure capabilities.
  • Strong stakeholder management and governance experience in regulated environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience migrating from batch-oriented to near real-time data architectures.
  • Knowledge of Oracle In-Memory, GoldenGate, or event streaming platforms.
  • Prior experience working within Client or a Tier-1 investment bank.

Responsibilities

  • Define success metrics for: Latency and throughput, High availability and fault tolerance, Failover and recovery behavior
  • Oversee performance testing and tuning strategy for RAC under HFT loads.
  • Recommend selective optimizations (e.g., Oracle In-Memory) where justified by data.
  • Work closely with infrastructure, network, and storage teams to ensure: Low-latency interconnect design, Storage performance suitable for RAC and HFT workloads
  • Validate that platform capabilities support the target performance and resilience requirements.
  • Ensure operational requirements are embedded in the design: Monitoring and observability, Runbooks and operational procedures, BAU support and escalation models
  • Oversee knowledge transfer and production readiness sign-off.
  • Support post-go-live stabilization (hypercare) as required.
