About The Position

The Oracle Database Analyst will work onsite at the client’s location in Tallahassee, Florida, with no telecommuting or remote work. This is a temporary project estimated to last 12 months, with possible extensions, and has an ASAP start date. Candidates must be able to work at the client site and relocate as required.

The role involves reviewing, documenting, and improving database schemas and ETL processes; defining and implementing approved changes to the data warehouse and ETL processes; mentoring client applications staff; managing assigned project work; and producing technical documentation. The analyst will also perform routine performance tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning for Oracle 19c environments.

Requirements

• Availability to work 100% onsite at the client’s location in Tallahassee, Florida; candidates must be able to relocate as required.
• At least 3 years of IT work experience in DBA, DBMS design and support, and relevant computing environments.
• Experience as a database analyst with Oracle, PL/SQL, Kornshell scripts, data governance, and data warehousing.
• Experience with Oracle 19c databases.
• Experience with data visualization.

Nice To Haves

• 8 or more years of experience with ETL processing, data modeling, and data migration.

Responsibilities

• Review current database structures, schemas, and ETL processes to understand them, document them, and identify and implement improvements.
• Work with customers to define new requirements for ETL processes and/or the data warehouse.
• Design and implement approved changes to the data warehouse and ETL processes.
• Mentor the client’s applications staff on ETL processing and/or data warehouse techniques.
• Manage assigned projects day to day and prioritize workload to meet project deadlines.
• Write technical procedures and documents.
• Perform routine database performance tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning to ensure optimal operation of Oracle 19c environments.
