About The Position

NTT DATA is seeking a Database Engineer (Oracle) to join its team in Jacksonville, Florida. The role focuses on securing, maintaining, and supporting Oracle database platforms in enterprise environments. The engineer will analyze database and infrastructure vulnerabilities, develop and execute remediation plans, and validate fixes across development, test, and production environments. The position also supports deployment, patching, upgrades, maintenance, performance, and operational activities while maintaining platform stability and compliance. The engineer collaborates with infrastructure, security, and application teams to resolve database-related security findings and support business-critical applications.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience administering Oracle databases in enterprise environments.
• 5+ years of experience supporting Oracle 12c/19c or newer versions.
• 5+ years of experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
• 3+ years of experience performing database vulnerability patching, remediation, and security updates in production environments.
• 3+ years of experience with backup and recovery using RMAN.
• 3+ years of experience implementing Oracle security and access controls.
• Experience with Oracle RAC and Data Guard administration.
• Experience supporting high-availability and disaster recovery environments.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL.
• Experience working in Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience troubleshooting production issues and performing root-cause analysis.
• Strong communication skills and experience supporting business-critical applications.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with MSSQL or Sybase database platforms.
• Experience supporting enterprise production environments with security and compliance requirements.
• Experience with automation and scripting for database administration.

Responsibilities
