About The Position

This role focuses on designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise-grade Oracle APEX applications. The developer will build interactive reports, forms, dashboards, workflows, and custom business applications. Responsibilities include developing responsive user interfaces using APEX Universal Theme, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, as well as advanced APEX functionality with dynamic actions, interactive grids, plug-ins, APIs, and RESTful services. The role also involves developing and maintaining SQL and PL/SQL, integrating APEX applications with Oracle Fusion, OIC, databases, and third-party systems, troubleshooting application and database issues, performing SQL/PLSQL performance tuning, and managing APEX workspaces, deployments, upgrades, and environment promotions. Support for modernization initiatives, including Oracle Redwood adoption, is also a key aspect. Additionally, the role involves supporting development and integrations related to Oracle Fusion Order Management (OM), translating Order Management and Order-to-Cash requirements into APEX and integration solutions, and supporting sales order, orchestration, fulfillment, order status, holds, and exception processes. Troubleshooting issues across APEX, OIC, Fusion OM, and downstream systems, as well as supporting OM orchestration processes, enhancements, and modernization initiatives, are crucial. Collaboration with functional and technical teams to deliver business-aligned solutions is expected. The role also includes designing, developing, and supporting integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), building various types of integrations (REST, SOAP, scheduled, file-based, event-driven), and working with various adapters (REST, SOAP, FTP/SFTP, Database, Kafka). Implementing error handling, logging, monitoring, and retry strategies, and supporting OIC environment configuration, deployments, security certificates, and the transition from OIC Gen 2 to Gen 3 are also part of the responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of overall IT/software development experience.
  • 7+ years of hands-on Oracle APEX development experience.
  • Strong SQL and PL/SQL development experience.
  • Strong experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and APEX Universal Theme.
  • Experience building and consuming REST APIs and web services.
  • Experience integrating APEX with Oracle Fusion and/or other enterprise systems.
  • 3+ years of Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud/Fusion applications.
  • Proven ability to work as a hands-on senior developer across the application, database, integration, and Fusion layers.
