Optometrist (Sacramento Optometric Group)
About The Position
VSP Ventures has a full-time floating Optometrist opportunity available across the greater Sacramento area, including Sacramento Optometric Group, Midtown Optometric Group, El Dorado Hills Optometric Center, Auburn Family Optometry, and Oak Tree Optometry. This role involves providing full-scope optometric care and helping patients see their best each day across multiple Sacramento-area practice locations. Depending on the location, duties may include comprehensive eye exams, assessing and managing ocular conditions and diseases, using digital retinal imaging and other advanced diagnostic tools, and partnering with the care team to deliver a seamless patient experience. This is a full-time opportunity with a Monday–Friday schedule, eight hours per day, and caring for 16–18 patients per day.
Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry degree, O.D. including Third Party Administrator (TPA) certificate of licensure
- 1-3 years of clinical practice experience with current knowledge of Optometric technology and practices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills
- Strong business aptitude, self-discipline, and ability to deliver outstanding patient service
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties
