About The Position
Professional Visioncare Associates is a well-respected eye care practice in Southern California, known for its leadership in special effect contact lenses for the entertainment industry. This practice, founded in 1952, offers full-scope primary care optometry, specializing in routine and complex contact lens treatment, refractive surgery co-management, and diagnostic and therapeutic health services for dry eye syndrome, myopia control, and keratoconus. The optical department boasts over 1,000 frames. The position is available part-time (three days a week) or full-time, with work split between the Sherman Oaks and Santa Monica offices.
Requirements
- Optometry license in the state of California.
- Highly skilled and motivated Optometrist with a keen focus on both ocular and systemic health.
- Proficiency in fitting scleral contact lenses.
- Strong leadership abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Deep sense of compassion for patient health and safety.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to fit scleral lenses.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive eye exams.
- Perform contact lens exams and fittings, including scleral shells.
- Educate patients about their ocular health.
- Recommend vision-enhancing products.
- Care for patients in a top-notch clinical setting.
- Manage approximately 13 patients daily, with additional check-ups and urgent eye matters.
