Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry degree, O.D. including Third Party Administrator (TPA) certificate of licensure
- 1-3 years of clinical practice experience with current knowledge of Optometric technology and practices; new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills
- Strong business aptitude, self-discipline, and ability to deliver outstanding patient service
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties
Responsibilities
- Engage in full-scope optometry, providing care to patients of all age groups and visual and medical conditions.
- Educate patients on their ocular health, recommend vision-enhancing products and offer personalized care.
- Treat two to three patients per hour, with a mix of refraction, contact lenses fittings, and/or medical exams depending on the scope of practice and needs of the office.
