About The Position

This well-established ophthalmology practice is welcoming a skilled OD to join their team in their Fort Myers and Punta Gorda offices, offering a $700 per diem and a supportive environment you'll love. The role is part-time and focuses on providing exceptional post-operative care, diagnosing and managing ocular conditions, prescribing vision solutions, and educating patients on eye health.

Requirements

• A valid state optometry license or one actively being obtained is required.
• Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and managing eye conditions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Comfortable seeing postoperative patients, primarily cataract postops, but also lid postops and pseudophakic exams.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional post-op care (cataracts, lids, pseudophakic exams)
• Diagnose and manage ocular conditions
• Prescribe glasses, contacts, and vision solutions
• Educate patients on eye health and preventive care
• Keep up with evolving optometry practices
