About The Position

A well-established eye care company is seeking an Optometrist to deliver exceptional vision care to patients in nursing homes across Long Island in NYC. This position offers flexibility, with opportunities to work 2-3 days a week (Monday to Friday), depending on individual availability. This innovative mobile optometry practice is dedicated to making a meaningful difference by delivering high-quality vision care directly to nursing home residents throughout Brooklyn and Queens. The team leverages advanced portable technology and a collaborative, patient-centered approach, allowing optometrists to focus on excellent clinical care in a supportive environment. Visit different nursing homes each day to provide comprehensive on-site eye exams and vision care. Utilize state-of-the-art portable equipment for refractions, glaucoma screenings, retinal evaluations, and more. Develop individualized care plans and prescribe corrective lenses. Collaborate with optometric assistants and support staff in a friendly, supportive team environment. Benefit from a flexible schedule with no required evenings or weekends. Maintain accurate, thorough documentation for each patient encounter. Participate in follow-up care and coordinate with other healthcare professionals as needed. Requirements

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school
  • Valid state optometry license or in the process of obtaining
