About The Position

This innovative mobile optometry practice is dedicated to making a meaningful difference by delivering high-quality vision care directly to nursing home residents. The team leverages advanced portable technology and a collaborative, patient-centered approach, allowing optometrists to focus on excellent clinical care in a supportive environment. This position offers flexibility, with opportunities to work 3-5 days a week (Monday to Friday), depending on individual availability. Visit different nursing homes each day to provide comprehensive on-site eye exams and vision care. Utilize state-of-the-art portable equipment for refractions, glaucoma screenings, retinal evaluations, and more. Develop individualized care plans and prescribe corrective lenses. Collaborate with optometric assistants and support staff in a friendly, supportive team environment. Benefit from a flexible schedule with no required evenings or weekends. Maintain accurate, thorough documentation for each patient encounter. Participate in follow-up care and coordinate with other healthcare professionals as needed. Requirements

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school
  • Valid state optometry license or in the process of obtaining
