Part Time Optometrist
About The Position
We are seeking a Part-Time Optometrist to provide comprehensive eye exams at nursing homes in Ithaca, NY. This role involves traveling to one of 3-4 nursing home locations per day, with travel times of 30 minutes to 1 hour within the geographical area. We provide the latest portable equipment and support from technicians at certain locations. The position does not require EMR, as pre-filled paperwork will be provided, and billing is handled by the company. The schedule is flexible, with approximately 6 hours of work per day, and no weekend work is required. We are open to discussing salary and bonus requests.
Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree.
- Ability to perform comprehensive eye exams.
- Accuracy in measurements and diagnosis of ocular conditions.
- Effective communication skills to explain eye health and prescription terminology.
- Ability to communicate product features and benefits.
- Willingness to travel to nursing home locations (30mins-1hr travel time).
