About The Position

We are seeking a part-time Optometrist to provide eyecare services in nursing homes in Lake Placid, NY. This role involves traveling to one of 3-4 nursing home locations per day, with travel times of 30 minutes to 1 hour within the geographical area. The position utilizes the latest portable equipment and serves friendly patients. The company's mission is to advocate for eyecare professionals and ensure patients have access to full-scope optometry care. Hiring is immediate.

Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree.
• Ability to perform comprehensive eye exams.
• Accuracy in measurements and diagnosis.
• Ability to explain medical terminology to patients.
• Effective communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 30-60 minutes within the geographical area.
• Ability to complete pre-filled paperwork.
• No EMR needed.
