About The Position
We are seeking a part-time Optometrist to provide comprehensive eye exams to patients in nursing homes in Greenhurst, NY. This role involves traveling to one of 3-4 nursing homes per day, with travel times of 30 minutes to 1 hour within the geographical area. We provide the latest portable equipment and handle billing, with technicians available at certain locations. No EMR is needed, only prefilled paperwork.
Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree.
- Ability to perform comprehensive eye exams.
- Accuracy in measurements and diagnosis of ocular conditions.
- Ability to explain eye health and prescription terminology.
- Exceptional product knowledge.
- Ability to effectively communicate features and benefits to patients.
- Willingness to travel to nursing home locations.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with elderly patients.
- Familiarity with portable optometric equipment.
Responsibilities
