About The Position

Woodlands Eye Associates is seeking a detail-oriented, patient-focused Optometric Technician I to support optometrists and patients in a collaborative eye-care setting. The role is open to candidates who are experienced or new to optometric care; training is provided. The practice emphasizes compassionate patient care, teamwork, and opportunities to develop clinical skills and pursue leadership opportunities.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Support optometrists by performing pre-screening tests and assisting with exams.
• Collect patient medical histories and explain vision benefits.
• Train patients on contact lens use and care.
• Verify insurance and schedule appointments.
• Maintain clear communication and help coordinate patient flow.
• Contribute to a seamless, high-quality patient experience.

• Document patient information accurately.
