About The Position

Braincube is a global real-time process optimization company helping manufacturers improve operational performance through AI, advanced data capabilities, and deep industrial expertise. Our platform enables manufacturers to increase yield, improve quality, optimize energy usage, and enhance throughput, at scale and in real-time across complex, multi-site operations.

The Optimization Engineer plays a key role in helping customers achieve measurable business results throughout their journey with Braincube, from onboarding and deployment through adoption, value realization, and expansion. In this role, you’ll work directly with customer teams to understand their operational challenges, translate business objectives into actionable improvement opportunities, and help drive sustainable gains in areas such as uptime, throughput, quality, and efficiency.

You’ll serve as a critical link between technical execution and business value, partnering closely with Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, and cross-functional technical teams to ensure successful customer outcomes. You’ll also have the opportunity to work across multiple sites and levels of an organization, advising customers on digital maturity, Manufacturing Excellence, Six Sigma, and broader continuous improvement initiatives.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical operations, with downstream experience considered a plus. This is a highly collaborative, customer-facing role for someone who enjoys solving complex operational problems, working with data and technology, and helping manufacturers and industrial organizations turn improvement opportunities into measurable results.

Requirements

• Strong ability to identify needs and drive toward outcomes despite ambiguity and challenges
• Expertise in Continuous Improvement methodologies (DMAIC, gap planning, process variability reduction)
• Expertise in Statistical Process Control (control charts, centerlines, process stability)
• Advanced data analysis capabilities (trial comparisons, root cause analysis, failure analysis)
• Working knowledge of Data Science concepts and applications
• Demonstrated experience in Change Management and Project Management
• Servant leadership mindset with a focus on empowering customers
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex or unclear objectives into actionable solutions
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Highly proactive and self-directed, with the ability to balance autonomy and structure
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills in a dynamic environment
• Proficiency with Google Workspace or similar tools

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or other related fields (preferred)
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial operations.
• Experience working in or supporting Oil & Gas or Petrochemical operations required.
• Downstream Oil & Gas experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customer leadership and plant teams to define objectives, build trusted relationships, and drive measurable business outcomes.
• Lead customer engagements from the plant floor through the executive level, translating business challenges into structured, actionable improvement plans.
• Diagnose complex operational challenges using root-cause analysis, Manufacturing Excellence, Six Sigma, DMAIC, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Provide analytical and technical expertise to identify opportunities, reduce variability, and improve performance across metrics such as uptime, throughput, quality, and ROI.
• Lead solution deployment and execution, ensuring alignment between customer stakeholders and internal technical, engineering, data science, and product teams.
• Assess customer digital maturity and identify opportunities for digital transformation and continuous improvement across sites and at the corporate level.
• Drive adoption and value realization by helping customers effectively implement, use, and scale solutions within their operations.
• Identify opportunities for account expansion based on demonstrated customer value and collaborate with Account Executives on technical discussions, demos, value assessments, and opportunity development.
• Deliver training, coaching, and best-practice guidance to build customer proficiency and enable sustainable improvements.
• Develop documentation and resources that capture best practices and support scalable customer enablement.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
