About The Position

Miller Family Eyecare is seeking a motivated Optician and frame stylist to help patients find eyewear that suits their medical needs, lifestyles, and personal preferences. The role is suited to someone who enjoys helping people, has an outgoing personality, and is eager to learn. Experienced opticians and frame stylists are encouraged to apply, and training is available for candidates without optical experience. This is a full-time position with Monday–Friday hours and no weekends. The listed hourly wage is $18–$22, depending on experience.

Requirements

At least one year of customer service or sales experience is preferred.
Strong communication and multitasking skills.
Positive attitude and a team-player mindset.
Coachable and eager to learn.
Professional, friendly, and dependable.

Nice To Haves

Optical experience; training is available for candidates without it.
Experience as an optician or frame stylist.

Responsibilities

Educate patients about corrective lens options and help them choose options suited to their medical needs and lifestyle preferences.
Offer honest, compassionate feedback on frame aesthetics.
Achieve sales goals and quotas while attending to patients’ specific needs and preferences.
Review physician prescriptions and orders against medical charts.
Operate a manual lensometer and other tools to ensure proper patient fittings.
Manage frame and contact lens inventory to support customer satisfaction and product variety.
Communicate with physicians about questions or concerns regarding prescriptions and other eye-related issues.
