About The Position
IRIS, The Visual Group is currently looking for a Traveling Optician to support its clinics across Quebec based on the needs of its network. This position is ideal for an optician who enjoys variety, adapts easily, and is interested in discovering different clinics, teams, and patient communities while remaining part of the same organization. As a Traveling Optician, you will travel to various IRIS clinics to support teams wherever assistance is needed.
Requirements
- Licensed optician and a member in good standing of the Ordre des opticiens d’ordonnances du Québec
- Enjoy stepping outside of routine
- Independent and resourceful
- Flexible and comfortable with travel
- Able to adapt quickly to new teams and environments
- Customer-focused and committed to delivering an exceptional patient experience
- Positive, collaborative, and professional
- Comfortable working with a variety of patients and within diverse clinic settings
- A valid driver's licence
- Availability to travel throughout Quebec
Responsibilities
- Advise patients on the selection of frames, lenses, and optical solutions
- Perform adjustments, measurements, and follow-up services as required
- Deliver a professional, warm, and personalized patient experience
- Collaborate with optometrists, opticians, and team members across multiple clinics
- Provide expertise and support during busy periods, staff absences, or other temporary needs
- Quickly adapt to the unique environment and operations of each clinic visited
