About The Position

We are looking for a candidate with a great personality, dependable, and willingness to learn skills to become an optician. If you already have some optical experience lets expand on it. You will be joining a friendly, caring, customer-focused team willing to train the right candidate. The general function of this role is to uncover the visual needs of our patients, recommend the best procedures and products that meet those needs, and build the brand by providing an exemplary customer service experience.

Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Organizational skills
• Computer skills
• Knowledge of basic mathematics
• High School Diploma or equivalence
• Able to work flexible hours including some nights and some Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Personally assist customers by giving prompt, courteous and professional service while helping them choose frames and lenses that fit their style and needs.
• Knowledge of Optical Insurance
• Product Knowledge
• Knowledge of promotions, sales and discounts of Company
• Dispense optical eye wear in accordance with professional standards
• Performs repairs, adjustments, verifies accuracy of completed eye wear
• Instruct Contact Lens insertion and removal class
• Achieve established Sales and Customer Service objectives
