About The Position

This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing in-line manufacturing equipment within optical processing operations. The technician will diagnose issues using meters and electronic test tools, interpret technical drawings and schematics, and replace faulty components to minimize downtime. Responsibilities also include authoring and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions, inspecting and servicing production assets using various technologies (mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum), and providing guidance and training to peers. All work must adhere to established standards, company policies, and procedures, with regular attendance, openness to overtime, and schedule flexibility. Key attributes for success include curiosity, initiative, the ability to learn quickly, and a proactive approach to new systems. The role requires a balance of independence and teamwork, strong prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks, and adaptability in a fast-paced production environment. Ownership of a clean, orderly, and safe work area, along with a connection to the company's mission and goals, are also important.

Requirements

1–2 years of maintenance experience in a production environment.
Foundational mechanical and electrical skills.
Familiarity with schematics.
Solid basic math and computer literacy.
Clear written and verbal communication.
Strong organization and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Optical processing exposure is a plus.
HVAC and/or welding experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair in-line manufacturing equipment across optical processing operations.
Diagnose issues using meters and standard electronic test tools.
Interpret drawings, schematics, diagrams, prints, specs, manuals, and both written and verbal instructions.
Replace failed parts, validate fixes, and return assets to service with minimal downtime.
Author and update SOPs, work instructions, and maintenance standards.
Inspect and service production/support assets leveraging mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum technologies.
Guide and train peers; provide hands-on direction to individuals or small groups.
Perform all work to established standards and in alignment with company policies and procedures.
Maintain regular, punctual attendance.
Be open to overtime and flexible to adjust schedules as needed.
Maintain ownership of a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
