About The Position

The Manufacturing Equipment Technician will serve as a technical resource supporting Finishing operations, with primary responsibility for ensuring the performance, reliability, and mechanical integrity of Filters Finishing equipment. This role will execute maintenance practices, troubleshoot mechanical and electromechanical issues, and uphold equipment standards aligned with operational and quality requirements. The technician will support activities with external equipment vendors while aligning with Manufacturing Engineering, Finishing Value Stream team, and Facilities team, to maintain equipment uptime and reliability targets. High performance in this role will directly contribute to optimized asset utilization, reduced unplanned downtime, and sustained operational throughput.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing capacity
  • Minimum 3 years of experience maintaining equipment and tooling
  • Experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to interface with the organization and value stream partners
  • Supported developing new processes
  • Strong Mechanical Aptitude
  • Able to troubleshoot equipment breakdowns to identify the root cause
  • Can lead maintenance initiatives.
  • Organized, motivated, and able to prioritize tasks.
  • Organized and disciplined in maintaining Maintenance Area.
  • Have a passion to succeed in all aspects of the position, be of the highest integrity; customer focused and is committed to the paradigm of continuous improvement
  • US Citizenship or US Permanent Resident (due to ITAR/EAR criteria)

Responsibilities

  • Execute the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program for production equipment within our Finishing operations.
  • Support vendor-performed maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to service intervals.
  • Proactively manage critical spare parts inventory to sustain operational readiness.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to execute process improvement opportunities that drive improved machine performance, productivity gains, and/or cost reductions.
  • Serve as a technical resource for daily production support and root-cause analysis on equipment utilized in filter shaping, cleaning, beveling, laser engraving, and assembly processes.
  • Rapidly resolve mechanical, electromechanical, and process-related issues to sustain production flow and ensure equipment operates within defined performance parameters.
  • Communicate clearly and timely with cross-functional teams.
  • Minimize unplanned equipment downtime.
  • Consistently maintain internal production yield targets directly affected by equipment capability and reliability.
