About The Position

The Optical Lab Technician performs technical functions related to the calibration, alignment, fabrication, assembly, and modification of optical assemblies. The role supports optical testing and production activities, maintains testing and calibration records in accordance with good manufacturing practices (GMP) and ISO requirements, provides rapid-turnaround support for OEM test work, and assists with writing procedures for test methods.

Applicants must have the legal right to work in the United States and be legally authorized to access export-controlled information and source code.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or 3–5 years of experience in optics or a related field.
• Working knowledge of optics, optical elements, and optical test setups.
• Experience using interferometers, reflectometers, various gauges, and instruments.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Legal right to work in the United States and legal authorization to access export-controlled information and source code.

Responsibilities

• Support calibration activities in all functional areas of the optical testing department.
• Provide assembly test support for production and first article testing.
• Maintain records for all testing and calibration in accordance with GMP and ISO requirements.
• Provide rapid-turnaround support as requested for OEM test work.
• Assist in writing procedures for test methods.
