About The Position

National Vision is seeking experienced optical lab technicians to join their growing manufacturing facility in Plano, TX. This position involves operating and monitoring optical equipment, identifying and resolving production issues, ensuring proper lens coating and optical standards, and assisting with workflow and department issues. Candidates should be familiar with high-volume optical manufacturing in a fast-paced environment. The role offers a 3-day work schedule with 4 days off, base pay based on experience, a 10% shift differential, and bonus opportunities.

Requirements

• Prior optical production experience
• Minimum of one (1) year direct experience in a related role
• Ability to read and write English

• Familiarity with high-volume, optical manufacturing in a fast paced, mass production environment

Responsibilities

• Operation and monitoring of optical equipment and machinery
• Quickly identify production issues and resolve errors
• Observe workflow and ensure proper lens coating and optical standards
• Locate hot jobs and identify breakage
• Assist Lead with other associates and department issues
• Achieve production goals in processing job orders through production
