About The Position

This role is responsible for processing work orders, ensuring the quality and accuracy of inventory, and manufacturing corrective eyewear. Associates will prepare lenses for production, use edging equipment to produce lenses for frames, manually mount lenses, and assemble eyewear. The role also involves applying cosmetic addons like polish and tint. Maintaining quality standards by reviewing work tickets, adhering to standard operating procedures, and evaluating produced work is crucial. Communication with other associates and vendors is also a key part of the job. Requirements

  • Ability to process work orders to workload and prioritize orders.
  • Ability to maintain quality, accuracy, and integrity of inventory by scanning product in and out of departments using system software.
  • Ability to sort, place, and store freight or work orders in proper locations.
  • Ability to move freight manually.
  • Ability to prepare lenses for production (e.g., tracing, blocking, first inspection).
  • Ability to produce lenses for placement in frames using edging equipment.
  • Ability to manually mount lenses in frames and assemble eyewear.
  • Ability to complete cosmetic addons (e.g., polish, tint).
  • Ability to apply hard coating to lenses.
  • Ability to prepare lenses for addons (e.g., tint, no glare).
  • Ability to maintain quality standards by reviewing and analyzing work tickets or other information for accuracy.
  • Ability to adhere to standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to evaluate produced work for quality.
