About The Position

This role is responsible for processing work orders, ensuring the quality and accuracy of inventory, and manufacturing corrective eyewear. Associates will work in various departments, including Inventory, Finish, and Surface, utilizing system software and specialized equipment to prepare lenses, mount them into frames, and perform quality checks. Responsibilities

  • Process work orders to workload and prioritize orders.
  • Maintain quality, accuracy, and integrity of inventory by scanning product in and out of departments using system software.
  • Sort, place, and store freight or work orders in proper locations.
  • Move freight manually.
  • Prepare lenses for production, including tracing, blocking, and first inspection.
  • Produce lenses for placement in frames using edging equipment.
  • Manually mount lenses in frames and assemble eyewear.
  • Complete cosmetic add-ons such as polish and tint.
  • Prepare lenses for production, including layout, taping, blocking, and creating curvature and thickness according to prescription.
  • Use lens grinding equipment.
  • Apply hard coating to lenses.
  • Prepare lenses for add-ons like tint and no-glare.
  • Maintain quality standards by reviewing and analyzing work tickets or other information for accuracy.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures.
  • Evaluate produced work for quality.
  • Communicate with other Walmart associates and vendors verbally or in writing.
