About The Position

Eye Health America is seeking a team member for the optical department at The Eye Associates, an affiliate practice. The role involves helping patients and customers select eyewear and supporting optical orders, insurance claims, inventory returns, invoices, and quality checks. The candidate should be a multitasker with a positive attitude and must be willing to travel to other offices if needed. Overtime may be required. The posting welcomes different skill levels but requires optical experience; one year of relevant experience is also stated. ABO certification is preferred but not required.

Requirements

• Optical experience is required.

• Preferred licenses include State Licensed Dispensing Optician, Certified Optician, and Certified Contact Lens Fitter.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients and customers with selecting frames, lenses, and lens treatments.
• Order lenses from the lab.
• File insurance claims.
• Perform final inspection of lab work before notifying patients that orders are ready.
• Return items and track returns for inventory purposes.
• Process invoices for payment.
