About The Position

Clemson Eye, an affiliate of Eye Health America, is seeking a team member for its optical department. The role involves helping patients choose eyewear and supporting optical orders and inventory. The successful candidate is a positive, multitasking team member with some optical experience and must be willing to float between the Seneca and Clemson offices. Overtime may be required. The position offers a sign-on bonus of $1,500, paid in three installments at 3, 6, and 12 months, and opportunities to earn commission.

Requirements

• Optical experience is required; the description specifies at least one year of relevant experience.
• Must be willing to float between the Seneca and Clemson offices.
• Must be able to multitask and have a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

• ABO certification is preferred but not required.
• Preferred licenses include State Licensed Dispensing Optician, Certified Optician, and Certified Contact Lens Fitter.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients and customers with selecting frames, lenses, and lens treatments.
• Order lenses from the lab.
• File insurance claims.
• Perform a final inspection of lab work before notifying patients that their orders are ready.
• Return items and track returns for inventory purposes.
• Process invoices for payment.
