About The Position

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented California State Grants Specialist with a minimum of 2 years of experience working with California state funding programs. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of school facility regulations and a demonstrated ability to manage the grant application and reporting process from start to finish. This is a temporary position with an anticipated duration of 6 – 12 months, which could extend longer as needed.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience with California state funding programs.
Deep understanding of school facility program regulations and public construction requirements.
Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Mircosoft Excel and data spreadsheet experience.

Nice To Haves

Understanding of Peoplesoft, Unifier, and similar software systems is ideal.
Familiarity with OPSC and CDE online systems.
Knowledge of eligibility establishment and update.

Responsibilities

Research and interpret California State regulations related to school facility funding.
Identify and evaluate available funding opportunities.
Prepare and submit accurate grant applications and all related documentation.
Prepare and/or support preparation of expense reports for auditors.
Collaborate with internal teams, attorneys, CPAs, and administrative agencies to gather required information.
Maintain organized records of all grant-related materials.
Work with IT staff to define data requirements and support grant tracking systems.
Communicate clearly and effectively across departments to ensure compliance with funding guidelines.
Analyze problems and propose solutions related to funding and regulatory requirements.
