About The Position

Honeymoon Island State Park is looking to fill a seasonal OPS toll collector position working up to 29 hours per week. The incumbent in this position works weekends, evenings and holidays.

Requirements

• Basic Arithmetic
• Providing outstanding customer service
• basic computer skills
• Follow verbal and written instructions
• communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
• accurately prepare and reconcile reports
• collect fees
• operate cash registers, point-of-sale systems, and credit card terminals
• answer visitor inquiries in a courteous manner
• Successfully complete background and fingerprint check
• Understand and apply rules, directives, policies, laws and regulations
• work weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Valid Driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Responsible for greeting visitors at the toll booth and collecting fees for park entrance and annual pass sales.
• Provide information pertaining to the park and park activities.
• Informing visitors of park rules and providing directions.
• Operate a point-of-sale cash register; accurately collect and enter sales transactions; complete shift reports.
• Maintain an organized workspace, answer phones, and operate radio equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of tollbooth, administrative office, and staff restroom.
