About The Position

This position is maintenance work including assisting with painting, plumbing, and minor repairs. Work will also include moving furniture, cleaning, and all other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Superintendent.

• Ability to quickly learn methods of repair.
• Good communication skills.
• Flexibility with a variety of assignments.
• Ability to exercise good judgment.
• Experience working within a customer service-oriented environment.
• Ability to maintain a professional attitude.
• Ability to promote departmental and university policies.
• Ability to represent the University of North Florida, the Department of Housing and Residence Life to residents and guests in a positive and supportive manner.
• Diplomacy while working with individuals of various backgrounds and ages.
• Cannot be a current UNF student for this position type.
• Experience using hand tools and handheld power tools preferred.
• Willingness to learn new skills.
• Must pass a background check.
• May require a credit check.
• Designated as a “Responsible Employee” pursuant to their role under Title IX and must promptly report allegations of sexual misconduct, sexual violence, and child sexual abuse.
