About The Position

Belden’s US Internship Program offers current students an opportunity to work on important business projects, collaborate with experienced managers and deliver real results for the organization. Over 12 weeks, you will gain hands-on experience crafting business solutions while developing project management skills, interpersonal skills, and function-specific knowledge. You’ll work towards goals, deliver results, and present to business leaders. Operations is the function that keeps Belden’s promises to its customers. Spanning global manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, quality, and logistics, this team ensures that products are delivered on time, at cost, and to the highest standards. Operations and Supply Chain Internship roles provide the opportunity to work out of locations including Carmel, IN; Richmond, IN; Tucson, AZ.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment with pursuit of bachelor’s or master’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field of study
  • Related project or work experience in project management, supply chain, cross-functional collaboration with exposure to data analytics, Lean Methodologies, Six Sigma, and/or structured problem solving
  • Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration abilities
  • High learning agility and intellectual curiosity along with initiative, accountability, and a bias for action
  • Willingness to relocate for rotational assignments, authorization to work in the country of employment

Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal evaluation of supply chain processes and procedures and work to identify areas or methods for continued improvement
  • Communicate with existing or potential vendors to identify areas of opportunity
  • Review and complete manufacturing processes and assist in development of standardized processes or improved systems
  • Identify supply chain and strategic sourcing disruptions and areas of opportunity, calculate financial impact and propose improvement action plan
