About The Position

The OPS Groundskeeper position is part of the Housing & Residence Life department. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of housing areas, courtyards, and associated grounds. Duties include trash removal, grounds maintenance, and assisting with campus maintenance tasks. The position also involves special projects and event work.

Requirements

  • Must pass a background check.
  • May require a credit check.
  • Must be a "Responsible Employee" and promptly report allegations of sexual misconduct, sexual violence, and child sexual abuse to the University’s Title IX Administrator or any divisional Title IX Coordinator.

Responsibilities

  • Empty trash containers located in Housing areas.
  • Maintain the courtyards by removing any trash or debris.
  • Continually keep the dumpster/recycling area clean and maintained.
  • Remove any trash or debris from the courtyards, stairwells, or sidewalks in and around Housing Areas.
  • Clean the outdoor cooking grills in and around the Housing Areas.
  • Use the “leaf blower” to clean debris from the A/C units in Osprey Village.
  • Use the gas-powered vacuum to maintain the courtyards and parking lots.
  • Raking leaves.
  • Special projects/event work.
  • Work orders.
  • Assists with campus maintenance.
