The Florida Department of Health (DOH) is seeking a creative, organized, flexible, and motivated individual to become an essential member of the Primary Care Office (PCO). This is a highly professional position located in the Division of Public Health Statistics and Performance Management (PHSPM), Health Resources and Access (HRA) Section. This position works in a cooperative manner with the director of the Primary Care Office (PCO), Florida Assistance for Medical Education (FRAME) manager and staff members, and other Department staff to manage primary care, mental health, and dental health professional shortage area determinations. This position requires the incumbent to be knowledgeable in the policies, data, and issues related to access to health care and health professional recruitment. The incumbent works with other individuals, agencies, organizations and groups in developing and promoting policies and programs that improve access to health care. This position requires excellent communication skills, computer and data skills, and the ability to work independently and effectively with County Health Departments, Federally Qualified Health Centers, local health care providers, other governmental agencies and organizations, and community representatives.
