About The Position

This is a highly responsible position that provides research, analysis, and program support for statewide homelessness and fatherhood initiatives. The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Collaborate with the Council to research, write, edit, and organize the annual Homelessness Report, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with reporting requirements. Gather, analyze and present data from multiple sources to support policy recommendations and program evaluation. Partner with staff to develop, write, edit, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to promote consistency, efficiency, and organizational effectiveness. Participates in service teams or work group activities as assigned, including procurement activities. Review and revise internal policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure alignment with agency goals, best practices, and applicable regulations. Produce professional reports, guidance documents, and other written materials for leadership, stakeholders, and external partners. Maintains current and detailed knowledge about the laws and regulations affecting the Department. Completes required training and seeking opportunities for professional development and accepting or volunteering for special learning and development activities. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of research, data analysis, program evaluation, policy development, and technical writing.
  • Ability to analyze complex data, develop reports and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), interpret laws and policies, communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to produce accurate, high-quality written materials.
  • Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document work assignments and other activities relating to the improvement of operational practices.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions.
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • US citizen requirement.
  • Selective Service System registration for males born after October 1, 1962.
  • Successful completion of a State and National criminal history check.
  • Background screening shall include, but not be limited to, fingerprinting for State and Federal criminal records checks through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and may include local criminal history checks through local law enforcement agencies.
