About The Position
The OPS Government Operations Consultant I (37920069) serves in the Bureau of Design and Construction (BDC), Construction Section. This role provides assistant project management support for construction projects relating to new state park development, renovation, rehabilitation, and facility repair throughout Southwest Florida. The position supports the BDC Construction Projects Consultant through contract management assistance, project documentation review, inspections, tracking, reporting, and other construction‑related administrative functions. This position does not include supervisory responsibility.
Requirements
- Valid driver license
- Knowledge in general principles, techniques, materials and equipment utilized in building construction
- Knowledge in contract management and administration
- Knowledge in general administrative concepts
- Skill in Microsoft Office suite
- Skill in effective communication techniques
- Skill in planning, organizing and coordinating building construction program activities
- Skill in problem solving
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others
- Skill in understanding and applying applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Ability to maintain multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
