This position involves analyzing and processing cases related to background screening of healthcare practitioners and complaints against Florida health care providers to determine violations of Florida Statute or Rule. The role requires interpreting and applying statutes, policies, and regulations, conducting investigations, issuing subpoenas and citations, interviewing witnesses, preparing investigative reports, and testifying at hearings. The consultant will also provide technical assistance, consultative services, and direction for data and report development, implementation, and evaluation. Additionally, the position involves researching and disseminating reports, acting as a liaison between various parties, evaluating and recommending changes to laws and regulations, representing the agency at meetings and hearings, and assisting with mediation and training.
