About The Position

This is a full-time Other Personal Services (OPS) position within the Division of Agricultural Environmental Services, specifically in the Pest Control Licensing Section of the Bureau of Licensing and Enforcement. The role involves serving as a receptionist, handling mail and correspondence, managing data entry, and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or its equivalent and five (5) years of administrative or clerical experience; or An equivalent combination of education and experience which equals five (5) years can substitute for the above requirements; or A bachelor's degree (4 years) from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of administrative experience; or A master's degree (6 years) from an accredited college or university can substitute for the required experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as receptionist for Pest Control Licensing Section of the Bureau of Licensing and Enforcement by directing telephone calls to employees.
  • Assist incoming visitors as needed and direct to appropriate staff.
  • Perform receptionist duties according to established policies and procedures.
  • Handle all incoming mail for the Pest Control Licensing Section.
  • Open, review, date stamp and log in all incoming mail and monies and distribute within the bureau according to established policies and procedures.
  • Handle correspondence for the section.
  • Type correspondence, folders, labels, licenses, spreadsheets, etc.
  • Scan and index incoming paperwork.
  • Maintain alphabetical files for records.
  • Perform correspondence and filing duties as directed by supervisor and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Update, transmit, retrieve, and change information to records in applicable data bases.
  • Perform data entry activities in accordance with established policies and procedures and with designated databases.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
